York House
British Land’s decision to integrate art within one of their mixed-use developments led to the commissioning of two major interior and exterior works of art. The building, designed by EPR Architects, incorporates their head office.
Danny Lane’s innovative use of sculptural glass is dramatically represented in his floor-to-ceiling reception piece, entitled Veil. Situated in a niche area outside the building, Robert Orchardson’s inspiring painted steel sculpture, Nexus, stands 9-metres high and is comprised of six large futurist diamond shaped sections.
